At RightClick+, we take your privacy very seriously. This policy describes how we handle information in our macOS application and website.

1. Local Processing (Privacy by Design)

RightClick+ is designed to work locally on your Mac. The application is a system extension (Finder Sync Extension) and its main function is to facilitate file management in your environment.

No file access: We do not have access to the content of the files you create or modify. Everything happens locally.
No telemetry: We do not collect usage data, click statistics, or user behavior within the application.

Total Transparency

Unlike other tools, RightClick+ does not require an internet connection to perform its context menu functions. Your folders and documents remain private.

2. Information We Collect

The only information we collect is strictly necessary for license management and service operation:

Purchase Data: When you purchase a Pro license, we process your email through certified providers (Bold / PayPal).
License Validation: To activate Pro, the app sends your license key and a technical hardware ID (UUID).
Updates: Basic technical info (macOS version, Mac model) is sent anonymously to ensure compatibility.

3. Purpose of Processing

The collected data is used exclusively to:

Validate and activate the Pro version of the software.
Manage renewals and subscription status.
Prevent fraud and unauthorized use of licenses.

4. Data Security

We implement technical security measures to protect your information. Communications are encrypted (HTTPS) and we do not sell your info to third parties.

5. International Users (GDPR / CCPA)

If you are in the European Economic Area (EEA) or similar jurisdictions, processing is based on:

Performance of a Contract: Necessary to provide the Pro software features you purchased.
Legitimate Interest: Processing your device ID to prevent license fraud.
International Transfers: You agree that license data may be processed in servers outside your country of residence.

6. Your Rights (Habeas Data / GDPR)

You have the right to know, update, rectify, limit processing, or request full deletion of your information from our database.
